Obviously the first thing strikes us is a Calvin image on the side (this is true only if the record we are looking at is truly the very first employee; if you are testing our on-site demo you may not see that). Let's put that aside for a second.

The most important data here is the 'empid' field at the top. That is frankie's employee Id. The system generated a unique employee Id for us and assigned it to frankie.

Secondly, frankie's email address is filled. Remember we did not enter an email for him. In this case, the application uses employee's login name and a domain name configured for the company to generate an email address. That is a common practice in most companies. However, we could have explicitly entered an email for frankie, and that would have overruled auto-email generation. If you click on his email, it will put your browser into sendmail mode, but we don't want to send him an email; just not yet!

Another thing to notice here, is, frankie does not have a supervisor. Well, that is true. He is the top-banana! He may have subordinates; and they will be listed under the 'direct reports' link. You may test it, but he doesn't have any subordinates yet.

The 'site' field provides us his work address, that is, if you click on it.
