SEEKING TICKETS:

To see a particular ticket that is not listed under the 'Open Tickets', go to LeftNav->TicketTracking->GotoTicket:

 

 

Type '1' for the ticket number we just closed, and Submit. It should take you back to the ticket window, showing its closed status on the upper-right corner. You may update its status and re-open it now.

That is all there is to Ticket Tracking system. This application leverages on the Discussion Forums paradigm with a forum Id '2'. The Discussion Forums application does not interfere with the Ticket Tracking; since it considers forums 1 to 100 System Forums. Forums 101 to 1000 are reserved for future needs. The Discussion Forums start with a forum Id 1001.

Ticket numbers here are in fact topic Ids under its reserved forum, and ticket notes are just posts to those topics.

It is fairly straightforward to create numerous ticket tracking systems based on particular products. I.e., a new forum Id can be assigned to a specific product's tickets, rather than using this generic one for all.
